ADULT DANCE DESCRIPTIONS
Kids Night Out! - Details TBA - Kids: Are you bored hanging out with your parents? Parents: Would you like a night out on the town? If so, Kids' Night Out is the perfect solution. Our fantastic Creative Edge staff will keep them active all evening. Dancing, games, activities, a pizza party and a whole lot more! Don’t worry, if they are ready to crash, we have down time just for those moments too. If your kids love hanging with our instructors during the day, they will love a few hours at night too! Fun guaranteed!
Adult Ballet • This class is suitable for students with zero to little ballet training. The class will introduce basic movement vocabulary and French terminology as well as safe stretching techniques and practices. Students will learn positions of the feet, arms, and begin fundamental barre and center work. Like all of our open classes, this class is subject to the needs of the overall attendees of each class. This class meets once a week.
Adult Hip Hop • Whether you’re looking to pick up a few moves, get some exercise, meet new people or just have a lot of fun, we’ve got it all here for you! Each class starts with a warm-up full of freestyling, stretching and conditioning guaranteed to get your heart pounding. Then we move into choreography set to today‘s groove-worthy jams which combines old and new school Hip Hop and adds in a touch of Latin, African, Modern, Swing, House, or whatever else is blowin’ up the dance floors today. All of this is wrapped in a package that promises to challenge and give everyone a solid and fun introduction to dance.
B-BOY HIP HOP
So, guys – you think you have what it takes to dance? You think dancing is “just for girls?” Well, we beg to differ. Classes are structured in the traditional hip-hop format; Isolations, stretching, dance technique, progressive movements, combination or dance routine. A greater emphasis is put on hip-hop tricks (break poses, kip ups, and, six steps).
